The Institute of World Civilizations was renamed the Vladimir Zhirinovsky University of World Civilizations— founder of the Liberal Democratic Party and the founder of the university, according to the website of the party.

The party also recalled that one of the streets of Bryansk will be named after Zhirinovsky and a memorial plaque will be installed on it. Zhirinovsky's deputy mandate was transferred to Andrey Svintsov, and the LDPR was headed by deputy Leonid Slutsky.
